It has 6000 employees, The first book printed in Oxford in 1478, In 1586, the University of Oxford’s right to print books was recognised in a decree from the star chambers. From the 1800s OUP began to expand significantly and open the first overseas OU Press office in New York in (1896). Other international branches followed including Canada (1904). Australia (1908). India (1912). Southern Africa (1914). Today OUP offices are in 50 countries, and it is the largest University press in the World.
OUP  publish more than 6000 titles a year worldwide, They sell more than 110, million units each year Worldwide. Press range includes dictionaries, English language teaching materials, children’s books, journals, scholarly monographs, printed music, Higher education text books, and most of the sales are outside the UK.
